Sunday Josh and I went for a date! We went on a slow bike ride - after all the tooth abscess I needed some fresh air!

We followed it with ice cream of course. Love you Joshua Chad!!!

First day of MOPS

Sticker chart

The power of stickers over a 3 year old is awesome!! I just started this sticker chart today & for every time he poops in the potty he get some sticker to put on his chart. Wahoo!! 

Preschool fun @ Home

I'm trying to add some learning activities to our day. Hudson loves going to his mommys morning out so I thought I'd carry over some things at the house. 

Today I had Hudson get some coins from his doggie bank aunt Jessie made him & sort them by putting the coins in the cupcake pan. He did really well!!

Weekend events

Had a rough weekend Friday I started getting pain in my tooth & went ahead and made a dentist appointment with a dentist in town for Monday. But I couldn't make it till then the pain was insane and on Sunday morning I ended up having Josh take me to a 24/7 dentist in Indianapolis. I had an abscess in my tooth & had to get a root canal and crown. 

My fever is coming down with the antibiotic and the pain is still pretty bad but I'm hoping it ends soon. The pain of an abscess has to be up there with child birthing pain. Holy moly! 

Hudson did some painting outside this morning, it's 69 degrees and no humidity so we decided we needed to enjoy it while we can!

2nd day of school

Boys had their second day of 'school' today & they did great!! 

Lincoln got a sticker for being incredible his teachers said :)

Hudson took a field trip & walked to the library (2 blocks away) AND was line leader!! Mrs. Karen said he did so well and got to keep the flag that the line leader uses. He's pretty proud of himself & so am I!

Book readers

Hudson just read this book to sweet Lincoln it's a simple book on each page is a flap and underneath is an animal. Well he knows the main word for each animal, for example monkey is naughty. It is so sweet to watch them grow up together!

BOOKS, this boy loves books. He has a few favorites & I'm considering hiding them! It's really sweet he finds a book shuffles over turns around and will plop in your laugh with the sweetest giggle & smile in anticipation of reading. 

He also adores Hudson, he wants to do everything big brother is doing & then some.

The boys both start mommys morning out on Friday for 2.5 hours. Tomorrow evening is their opening house at school, I sure will miss them during that time but Josh keeps reminding me that they will have fun & a little space is good!!

First Olympic Triathlon

I did an Olympic triathlon Saturday & had so much fun!! It was a 1 mile swim, 25 mile bike & 6 mile run - above is my night before snack, popcorn!

On Friday I received the sweetest card from a friend - it was so encouraging!

All set-up almost time to go!

Hudson with his buddies & a cowbell to cheer me on! Josh said there were about 30 of our friends who came to cheer they were all friends from church - made me feel like a million bucks!!

I had 3 more miles of running to go, boy was it hot!

This was the swim to bike transition! 

I wound up getting done in under 3 hours, I was shocked! I placed 2nd in my age group & 8th overall for the females!

Hudsons new B is grandma's scarf she wore in Nepal to keep the mosquitos away. He won't put it down & keeps asking for grandma anytime we do anything, grandma girl come to??

Saturday morning Date!

On Saturday mornings I wake up early grab donuts then josh & I sneak out on a road bike ride while the sun is coming up & the boys hang with one of their beloved babysitters!! 

Today was perfection!!
