Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from our sweet little froggie 🐸 We are hoping to hand out candy tonight but not so sure the weather will let us! Hope you have a wonderful last day of October. We are looking forward to celebrating Hudson's first thanksgiving and Christmas coming up. I can't wait to take him trick or treating next year :^)

lately for us

I got Hudson this hat the other day from Walmart of all places, the best part is it was $0.87 cents! And let me tell you he looks pretty darn cute in it! He has been spending his days with his sweet Nana and Grandma while his mommy goes back to work. It took me every bit of 5 months to be able to leave him and return to be a working lady. And surprisingly I'm really happy with working, it does help knowing he is in wonderful hands! I will look forward to when I go down to part-time after my training ends, which is full-time training.

He changes everyday it seems. The faces, sounds, giggles, movements, stares, tantrums and so much more changes each and every day. It really is such a blessing to have a child, my eyes are opened to things I've never seen before. He is so delightful :^)

5 months old

I can't believe it! I really can't believe. First time mom here I know, but I have the sweetest little boy you've ever met. I'm not biased or anything :^)

Hudson at 5 months:

Loves Bananas, sleeping on his tummy, reading (loves books!), his reflection, swinging, walks, rolling over, high chair, the mobile josh and I made him, his thumb. tummy time, playing airplane, loves hearing his name, clapping.

Oh he is such a joy, I truly understand why children are a blessing!

He is doing so well with his grandmas during the week while Josh and I work. I only have 3 more weeks of full-time work (training). It's so nice to know that Hudson is spending the day with his grandmas - We are so lucky to have them!!

Blessed

Yeah, it doesn't get cuter!!!!!!! We had such a wonderful weekend filled with celebrations with friends and family. Sweet Hudson even sported his bowtie and cardigan, such a handsome boy - he looks just like his daddy!

I took so many photos over the weekend so here is a big photo dump, hope you enjoy! Also, tomorrow is my first day back to work since Hudson came into our lives. I have to say I'm super nervous but so blessed to leave him in wonderful hands! Wish me luck :^)

24 hour bug

Well I had a 24 hour virus on my birthday, I got home from getting my haircut by Liz and had a 100 degree fever, aches, chills the whole nine-yards. Josh was home waiting to surprise me with a babysitter and dinner reservations, but I was too sick! Oh well hopefully we can celebrate this weekend, I'm crossing my fingers I didn't give the bug to him and Hudson.

My grandma is redoing her kitchen - how exciting! She chose white cabinets and black granite and is super nervous about what it will look like. Wouldn't we all be?! But I think it will look great!!

Here is a little laughter for your Friday - Hudson gave his first laugh yesterday, I was beside myself! Such a treat to see him grow, below is a quick video of one of his laughs. It wasn't the best giggle but I fumbled around trying to find my phone, then trying to open my camera. Needless to say, I'm glad I was able to catch this giggle of his!

thankful

I'm so thankful for a grandma who sends the most amazing packages. It's such a treat to open the front door and there be sitting a box filled with goodies. I've been getting these amazing packages since I was a little girl, she even continued sending them when I was in college. If you have ever been away at school it's a special thing to get a package full of things that make you think of family. Now my packages include things for Hudson too :^)

adventurous

This was the first spontaneous thing we have done since we had Hudson. We didn't even bring the diaper bag - we are pros! No tears, no paci - just smooth sailing!

No this does not mean I'm ready for another...sorry mom!

change of weather

This was our past weekend. Hudson sported his new uofl apparel, we took walks enjoying the fall weather and aunt Liz spoiled Hudson as usual! We have started Hudson on rice cereal, I took a video of his first spoon feeding last night, I will post it soon!

4 months old!

This big boy is 16 lbs today! I really can't believe we have had him for 4 months, it has been so much fun.

Things Hudson likes at 4 months:

Tries to sit up, likes tummy time, started finding his legs and feet, likes reading books, wearing 6 month clothes, wants to crawl so bad, 6 ounce bottles, hold his head up and still loves his baths.

Oh my he is such a delight I really can't believe how much he is changing and growing, he so badly wants to crawl and sit-up unassisted. I'm cherishing every day we have together, time really does fly by.
