Santa's Village

Saturday we went to Martin, Tn to visit Santa's Village. It was held at the University of Martin TN and Hudson had a blast. We got there 20 minutes early because I knew it would be packed, we only spent one hour there but Hudson might say it was the best hour of his life!

Hudson

Hudson is almost 19 months, my sweet little boy is getting so big so quick! 

Hudson loves trucks, cars, buses, airplanes, trains any vehicle really it's all he talks about. He has started to gather all his favorite trucks and cars and he puts them in his crib and plays in there for long periods of time. I sit in there with him and read a book just to make sure he doesn't climb out. But it's a really nice time of independent play for him and for me!  He also loves sitting in his teepee again he gathers up all his favorite books and toys and plays in there alone. He's started to defientely create relationships with his stuffed animals and even his toys. His favorite tv show is Daniel the Tiger on PBS. He loves Daniel!!! It's created by the Mr. Roger foundation so it's the same idea as Mr. Rogers once was. 

Hudson is learning to use a fork and spoon. We always give him one for meals but it's harder for him than using his hands. He wants anything we lay before him sometimes fruit is too sweet or sour for him but he really will eat most of anything. 

He also loves to put bags on his shoulders and run around stuffing trinkets in there. Have I mentioned how he runs everywhere sometimes he gets so tickeled he just runs laps around the house squealing, it's adorable! We are so blessed to have him in our lives!! 

PS: morning sickness I believe has left its been 2 1/2 weeks since I've been sick!! My energy has returned and I feel great thanks for all the well wishes!

Christmas Crafts

Sunday I made cinnamon heart & gingerbread house garlands. The house smelled so good all day!!

It was super easy the recipe called for 1 cup of applesauce and 1 1/2 cup of cinnamon. I threw it in my kitchenaid and mixed it, I ended up having to add more cinnamon because you don't want it to wet. Next I sprinkled some cinnamon on the counter and then rolled out the dough. After I used my shapes to cut the dough I baked in the oven on 200 degrees for 1.5 hours. Again it smelled so wondeful all day and still does!!

Sunday

We had so much fun sunday, we stayed indoors till about 3 or so. Josh went for a run in the field across from our house. Our neighbor mowed miles of trails through it so neighborhood kids can drive their atv's through there. Hudson loves sitting out there looking at the birds fly over head. 

Hudson is serious about his block building, he did all that himself!!

My garland I made this year, it was really simple I found Christmas scrap fabric cut it and knotted it onto a string - I think it turned out great!
