Weekend well spent

We had such a relaxing weekend, we've been so busy & I was sick most of the week it was refreshing to just spend it together at home. Saturday morning I did make pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes, Hudson was so excited! Then the Mill Race marathon & half marathon ran past our house we were the last mile of the race so it was super fun to watch and cheer people on. A lot of our friends ran and they would wave to us & we had a lot of friends stop by on their way downtown to see the finish. Really fun morning!!

Hudson loves to play with Lincoln's stuff :) 

Saturday night a friend had a drive-in movie at her house in the country. She used a projector to show the new Cinderella movie, have you seen it?? It was darling, I felt like a little girl again. It was such a sweet, crisp fall evening the apple cider, kettle corn & caramel apples just made it so special. 

Surviving

Well I just survived mastitis, holy cow that wasn't fun at all!! Hopefully tomorrow I wake up feeling new again, here's some cute pictures to look at!

Oh these sweet boys. May I never forget what it feels like to be needed every second of every day, or to have baskets full of laundry needing to be folded, or hungry bellies to fill, boo boos to kiss, or even how to bounce and shush just right to calm your sleepy baby. 

I just can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing with my life than being a mom. My three sweet boys have given me so much purpose, so thankful for you three

Hope you enjoy your weekend, I have 8 miles to run tomorrow. I'm training for a half marathon coming up, I love running in this fall weather!

Lincoln had his 4 month appointment yesterday and weighs 15 lbs 3 ounces & is 25.5 inches long. The doctor said he is doings great! 

I told the pediatrician my mom is an infant PT and she said, "oh then I have nothing to worry about with Lincoln, he'll be ahead of the rest!" We miss you momma :) Thankful for FaceTime!

Lincoln Tucker 4 months

Oh sweet Lincoln we love you!! Your big brother Hudson just adores you and if I left him he would tote you around like a baby doll. 

You have the happiest, most content personalities. You love being at home and always feel safe and calm in your room. You love your mobile, playing with your book that crinkles. I think you're teething since you're hands are constantly in your mouth with a trail of drool. You always wake up happy, cooing & smiling.

You love watching Hudson play and love when he gives you kisses. You sleep all night and have been for quite sometime. You're such a great sleeper and even go down for your naps with such ease. Some nights you have a fussy period in the evening where you can't get settled or comfy but it never last long. 

You love playing on the floor and being on your belly and back checking out the world around you. I've found when you get fussy if I lay you on a blanket on the floor you calm right down. I think you will be my little introvert :)

We are so honored to be your parents and I just love staying home with you. Can't wait to see what this next month brings for you. Love you!!

Hudson 28 months

Hudson what a Joy you are!! Staying home with you is such a privelage and I love all our time together. Currently your one true love is monster trucks, you love them and can now name about any type on truck on the road. Going on a car ride is such a fun experience for you since you love to look around at everything. 

You are learning so many words and pick up on what we say almost instantly. Your favorite phrases are :::chocolate milk, sit right here, stay right here, watch a show please, monster truck, play trucks, play stickies, play with Bebe, mawwy & daddy, go to parkside, fast car, snack time please, mawwys truck, daddy's car. 

This morning daddy asked what you would like for breakfast and you said pancakes :) I made some a few days ago and it seems they were a hit!

Favorite food is pickles hands down you love them. You also like smoothies, peppers, hot dog, goldfish and bread.

We love you sweet boy and can't wait to see you grow each and everyday. You have brought us more happiness than you'll ever know!!

Lizzie's Birthday

We celebrated Liz's birthday today!! I told her I would make her a big dinner and she could pick!!

The menu was tortellini with sausage in a cream tomato sauce with kale, apple pie and homemade ice cream. It was a fun evening!! 

Next we walked off all the calories :)

My secret weapon when it's a rough day or I need to make dinner or I just need to sit and not think or when a certain toddler dumped an entire box of rice on the floor or unraveled a toilet paper roll --- no not my Hudson!! :) is a Sticker Book!! He LOVES them and it can occupy him for a looonnnggg time = parenting win!!
